I do like the output of the RIP but there are some asthetic adjustments in the prints I would like to try. I then bagged the 777 and used a C42UX stolen from my son's room to be the general printer and all works, all the time (so far). It appears the 777, once installed and used, rewrites somthing that on restartup takes the place of somthing used by the RIP. HOWEVER, if I then restart the computer after doint the above, the RIP has the fading, trailing edge issue again (now easily tested for by sending the printer a windows test page and seeing the last lines fading off). If I install it (the 777, and always after the 2200 driver (the older version even though I downloaded it Friday) and then the 2200 RIP), use it but do not restart the computer the RIP still works If I install it (777, driver from Windows XP) but never print with it, all works. With a number of system restores and trial and error I find the ![]() ![]() My second, general printer, an Epson 777. To be a conflict in the 2200 RIP and the epson driver/software for ![]() Now have a more specific idea about this problem.
